A cow accidentally fell into a 16-foot-deep well and was rescued by firefighters in South Sulawesi, Indonesia on Thursday (January 14).

The animal rescue team, from the 'Maros Fire Department,' had a problem rescuing the cow as it continued to struggle in the bottom of the well.

It took the officers an hour to evacuate the cow from the narrow well.

Officers fill water into the well so that the cow can float, making it easier for officers to lift them to the surface.

When the cow was successfully evacuated to land without injury, the cow went berserk and almost attacked the officers and residents.

When the rope fell from his body, the cow immediately ran away from the location.

According to the owner of the well, Sumarni, the cow fell into the well when she and her family were sleeping. Suddenly there was a thud, then a strange snoring sound came from the well.

"It happened at around 3 am when we were sleeping soundly. After it was getting light we looked at the well, it turned out that there was a large cow trapped in it," said Sumarni.

Locals contacted the fire department to evacuate the cow whose owner was unknown. Residents suspected that is a wild cow.
