Brave policeman catches snake hiding in family’s roof
A brave policeman caught a huge python that was living a family’s roof.
Police colonel Kwanmeung Hentamidee was called to tackle the two-metre long snake in Phetchabun, southern Thailand.
The shocked resident Lek Yodkam, 73, was sleeping when she heard the serpent above her head on January 10.
Footage shows how the brave cop climbed onto a chair to grapple with the snake – at one point falling down as he yanked the python out from its hiding place.
The policeman said: ‘I thought it was going to bite me but I grabbed its head to stop it opening its mouth. It was strong. Stronger than some robbers.’
The python was put into a sack and released into the wild.
