Pensioner Makes Colourful Christmas Lanterns Using Scrap Bottles
A pensioner has made colourful Christmas lanterns using discarded materials.
Jose Gico, 72, has been collecting used bottles from his neighbours since early September for his sustainable lantern project in Las Pinas City, Metro Manila, the Philippines.
His neighbour Maureen Angely Recto said she was amazed to see the beautiful decorations outside their apartment when he first lit them up on November 21.
She said: "I really admire Jose because he did his project patiently and we can really feel the Christmas vibes in our area."
