Giant centipede attacks snake by climbing on its back
This is the astonishing moment a centipede was seen attacking a SNAKE by climbing on its back.
The fearless arthropod mounted the reptile and rode it as it tried to escape into undergrowth on the island of Koh Chang, southern Thailand.
Resident Sumran Bunditsteian said she heard strange noises from outside her home before going to look and seeing the tussle on a dirt track on November 19.
She said: "I had goosebumps. I was so scared but honestly, I don't even know why I felt bad for the snake."
The centipede was around 30cm long. Most centipedes are venomous and can inflict painful bites when they injecting venom through their forcipules.
Sumran said the snake eventually succumbed to the centipede's poison.
