Demonstrators hit the streets of Nice, France on Saturday, January 16 to protest against the global security law and attacks on freedom.

For the first 2021 march against this "global security" law, more than 5000 people gathered in Nantes, France to denounce the law that would ban filming police officers.
With the unions that organized the protest, ravers also participated to denounce the arrest of the "Lieuron rave party" organizers, a rave party that more than 2500 people attended on new year's eve without proper sanitary measures.

Multiple thousand peoples joined the unions to march against the global security law in Nantes, France. At the very end of the protest, ravers and sound systems played music to support the organizers of a repressed rave in Lieuron

AS tensions rose during the entire protest, police officer charged the protest and fired tear gas. After the charge, one person got arrested. Some black bloc protesters tried to attack the police to free the arrested protesters which lead to antoher round of clashes in Nantes France

As the anti global security law protest reached its destination Nantes, France, clashes erupted between the police defending the local prefecture and protesters throwing paint and projectiles.
Several people got arrested during the multiples charges while other tried to march for a second time through downtown, in vain.

As one person got arrested and tensions started to rise again, the police charged the protesters that were throwing projectiles at them.
Around 5000 person marched through Nantes, France against a law that would ban filming police officer.

As the "anti crime brigade" charged the crowd to arrest protesters, they fought back and started yelling at him during a tensed face to face. Afterward, pollice threw tear gas grenade and fired flashballs in the crowd.
