Cases of bird flu have spread to 11 states across India despite culling.

According to the Hindustan Times, the H5N8 bird flu is spreading among poultry in five of the 11 states including Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

The presence of the H5N8 virus was found in the carcass of the crow sent for further testing. More than 155 dead crows have been detected with this virus, and more than hundreds of birds were found dead across 10 districts of the state.

Guidelines for poultry farms have also been issued regarding this matter.
