Canadian mother gets new puppy from same bloodline as dog she lost years ago
Heartwarming footage from British Columbia captured the moment a mother was surprised with a puppy from the same bloodlines as the bulldog she lost a few years earlier.
The grieving process was especially difficult for mother LaVerne, who said she felt like a piece of her had been missing ever since the previous dog Paris had passed away.
Family members described her and Paris as being inseparable.
Over the holiday season, the Hogg family decided to do something special for LaVerne.
They were confident that she was finally ready for another companion, so her son Blair Hogg began searching for the perfect bulldog puppy.
As destiny would have it, Blair managed to find a puppy that actually came from the same bloodlines as Paris.
An elaborate surprise was planned and footage captured the heartwarming moment LaVerne met her new puppy.
Speaking about the video Blair said: "My mother lost her beloved bulldog Paris a few years ago the grieving process was very hard on her, as her and Paris were inseparable.
"Once we knew my mom was ready, we searched long and hard to find the perfect bulldog match that actually comes from the same bloodlines as Paris."
The footage was captured on December 21.
