Cars became stranded and train lines flooded as Storm Christoph dumped rain across parts of Derbyshire and Leicestershire.

Footage filmed on Tuesday (January 19) shows a car stranded on Watery Lane in Burton Upon Trent after the driver attempted to cross a flooded road.

Other drivers in Sileby, Leicestershire, ignored signs and were seen driving through floodwater.

The Met Office issued an amber rain warning for parts of northern and central England, with Storm Christoph set to last throughout Tuesday and Wednesday.
