Cops in southern India's Andhra Pradesh seized a huge haul of liquor that was being smuggled across the border from neighbouring region Telangana in a tractor.

Footage from the seize shows officers next to the vehicle with a segment lifted that revealed a secret compartment that housed the booze.

Later, officials who were involved in the bust received recognition at a press conference with the haul spread out on a table to show the scale of the smuggling operation, which amounted to hundreds of bottles.

The smugglers were apprehended, and the officials who led the operation were honoured for their efforts.

Cops seized multiple liquor bottles from underneath a tractor's structure in southern India's Andhra Pradesh on January 19. The incident took place in the Penuganchiprolu village, near Jaggayyapeta, located in the Krishna district.
