Doctor removes 9-centimetre steel bar from Chinese boy's head
A doctor removed a 9-centimetre-long steel bar from a 10-year-old boy's head after it penetrated through his eye in southern China.
The video, filmed in the city of Chongqing on January 10, shows a steel bar stuck in a boy's head, and a doctor using a skull model to explain how the steel bar got stuck and how to remove it.
According to reports, the boy accidentally fell when he was playing table tennis. A steel bar on the ground then impaled into the boy's head through his right eye.
The doctor did a surgery for the boy to take the steel bar out of his head.
The boy was discharged from hospital and is recovering well, reports said.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
