Firefighters freed a dog's head from a gate after the pet became excited and tried to greet another pooch.

The video, filmed in the city of Shanghai on January 12, shows a dog with its head stuck in a hole in a gate outside a residential community.

Firefighters used tools to try to tear down the iron gate to free the dog.

After the dog was separated with the gate, the iron circle was still on its neck, which needed to be cut off separately.

According to reports, the dog saw another pooch outside the residential community and got excited. It then ran to the gate and got its head stuck in the hole.
