A magnitude 7 earthquake hit the south of the Philippines today (Jan 21).

Footage from a home in the town of Maniki in Davao shows a family’s lights shaking shortly after the quake struck at 8:23 pm local time.

The United States Geological Survey reported that the quake struck at a depth of 95.8lm around 210km southeast of Pondaguitan in Davao Oriental.

No tsunami warning was issued following the strong earthquake.
