Derbyshire roads deluged after Storm Christoph's lashing
Roads were flooded today (Janaury 21) as the River Derwent in Derby burst its banks resulting in a major incident.
Some properties in Derby city centre had some protection with sandbags placed along the bank, but roads in the surrounding area had already flooded.
Drivers were seen at Elvaston Castle driving through deep floodwater even after the council closed the road.
Some drivers were even seen moving cones to go through the floodwater.
