Footage shows the aftermath of a landslide which caused a car park to collapse in Malaysia on Wednesday (January 20).

The car park at the Kinabalu National Park gave way and plunged down the adjoining slop following continuous rain over the past few days in Ranau district.

Driver Hamdan Salihan, who took the video, said that he was on his way to work when he saw the big hole.

He said: “It happened fifteen minutes before I arrived at the scene. We experienced non-stop rain for several days which has caused landslides.”

Ranau police chief Sammy Newton said the affected area was 150m by 100m in size, and the earth fell 200m down into a ravine. The landslide also did not affect any village or settlement. No fatality has been reported.
