Fields turned to lake as storm Christoph flooding continues in the UK
The river trent at Sawley Marina in Derbyshire was seen very high this evening (22/01/21) as water from the river Derwent made its way down stream and into the river which runs through Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire before reaching the sea.
Cows were seen cut off in the middle of a farmers field as flood water surrounded them.
The canal path at Sawley was also flooded with parts of it having collapse due the speed of the water.
