Manhole covers explode upward after Chinese boy throws lit firecracker down sewer
Five manhole covers flew into the air after a boy threw a lit firecracker down the sewer, causing an explosion in southern China.
In the video, shot in the city of Dazhou in Sichuan Province on January 22, a boy threw an ignited firecracker down into a sewer through a manhole and ran away quickly to watch.
A huge explosion then occurred, sending a row of five manhole covers flying up into the air.
Fortunately, no one was injured. The manholes have been repaired and the boy and his parents have been reprimanded.
