After nearly a year apart, these Tuckerton, New Jersey grandparents get the sweetest surprise from their family who haven't seen them for nearly a year on January 16.

Christine and Kevin decided the moment to finally visit their beloved grandparents was upon them. They shut down the shop for two weeks in order to quarantine for enough time to safely meet their grandparents and proceeded to get a covid test before heading over to their grandparent’s house 2 hours away.

Before arriving at the residence and sneaking in their aunt Maria, who was in on the surprise, made sure their grandparents, Carl and Roseanne, were out of the house. Once inside, the siblings couldn’t resist reheating some of Roseanne’s lasagna before sneaking under the covers and waiting for Maria and their grandparents to return. Carl and Roseanne, who have been married for 65 years, were overcome with joy when they finally met their grandchildren.

"After they came inside my aunt had lured them into the bedroom in distress acting like the bed was messed up and well.... the rest is to be seen! Seeing them was the best thing that happened to us in a long time. It makes my family ecstatic that we can bring some happiness and passionate emotion to people especially in a time that is surrounded by unfortunate negativity," Kevin said.
