Former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, known by his stage name Bobi Wine, addressed the media at his home in Magere, Uganda, after being released from house arrest.

A court on Monday (January 25) ordered security forces to leave Wine's home.

The video footage from Tuesday (January 26) shows a police chopper circling Wine's property as he addresses the press.

Wine said "this is when the real fight begins" before adding "this is a liberation struggle that we must start."

In his address, Wine claimed the elections were rigged and said he won the 2021 elections, adding he will lead efforts to bring down President Yoweri Museveni in just one year using non-violent means.
