This tiny underwater cave in Florida is the stuff of nightmares

A scuba diver in Florida captured footage from the Jackson Blue Springs cave where they managed to enter an air pocket 35 feet underground.

Footage from January 24 shows diver Sandra Blackburn encountering an air pocket that was around 300 feet from the cave's entrance and its claustrophobia and thalassophobia-inducing appearance is the stuff of nightmares.

Blackburn explained that the air pocket allows divers to exhale after surfacing in the air pocket.

In addition to the nightmarish qualities of the footage, fossilized sand dollars can be seen embedded in the ceiling.

Blackburn who is part of Atlanta Technical Divers said that cave diving is "[a] dangerous activity that should only be done by those who have been trained to do it safely."
