Admire this colourful street art brightening up canals in Thailand
Street art has been used to brighten up the concrete walls of a once-grim and polluted canal-walkway in Thailand.
The beautification project has seen dozens of artists spraypaint murals on the dull grey walls in the Sathon area of the Thai capital Bangkok.
Topical pieces include a tribute to the city’s street sweepers, with them pictured wearing masks and face shields, bravely continuing their work throughout the pandemic fears.
Council chiefs have also placed baskets of flowers along the pillars that stretch across the filthy water.
The area has become a popular place for locals to pose for selfies take pictures alongside the graffiti art from local artists.
It is part of the Sathon Canal Art project on Soi Charoenkrung 57 area near the Srisuriyothai community.
