Wildlife photographer captures day in the life of lion pride in South Africa
A wildlife photographer captured the day in the life of a lion pride roaming around Kruger National Park, South Africa.
The close-up footage shows the lions hunting, resting, and play-fighting.
The filmer told Newsflare: "Unbelievable video of a morning shared with a pride of lions! Our day began in search of this young pride of lions. We were lucky to spot a few yellowish dots on the horizon and it was them!
"We watched as they slowly woke up and began to walk down the hill to the road. Just as they got to the road a dazzle of zebra was walking on the road. We waited in anticipation, and so it all began! One lioness bravely bolted out from behind the long grass attempting to catch a zebra, sadly for her they got away.
"Once she got over missing out on a meal the pride walked around on the road, playing, smacking each other, chewing some road work markers and even climbing up into a fallen Marula tree. What a special morning."
