This is the moment 30 slow lorises were released into the wild after being cruelly kept as pets.

The cute wide-eyed primates were swab-tested for Covid-19 to ensure all of them were free from transmitting the deadly virus to wild loris populations.

Rescuers from the International Animal Rescue (IAR) wore face-masks and maintained social distancing with other workers as they helped re-introduce the Javan slow lorises into Mount Halimun Salak National Park, Indonesia.

This video was shot within December 2020.
