This is the cute moment a motherly pet cockatiel bird protected sleeping baby mice – like they were her own offspring.

Kunasin Intayot opened the birdcage at his home in Chiang Mai, northern Thailand, he found four baby mice sleeping in the cage while his dearest pet bird violently pecked on his hand as if they were her own babies.

As he was sticking his hand deeper into the cage, the bird continued to peck his fingers with its beak refusing to let him carry the sleeping mice.

Kunasin recorded the unusual scene on December 20.
