A biker in northern India had a very lucky escape last week when he managed to avoid being crushed by an oncoming train.

CCTV footage filmed on January 24 in Bharwari in the state of Uttar Pradesh shows commuters using a level crossing.

A biker pulls up but loses control of his vehicle which falls to the ground right beside the tracks.

He wisely decides not to pick up the bike and a split-second later a train speeds past, crushing the bike under its wheels.

The visuals from the CCTV at the railway crossing shows a man trying to cross the level crossing on his bike when soon his bike goes out of control and he steps back.

A speeding train is seen passing through within a fraction of seconds before he could collect his bike from the ground.

The train hits the bike crashing it into pieces as it narrowly misses the man.

The man immediately then.steps at a safe distance watching his bike getting crushed into pieces helplessly.
