Forest officials rescue wounded monkey in central India
A wounded monkey was rescued by forest officials in central India's Madhya Pradesh on January 30.
The incident took place in Rahatgarh in Sagar district, as footage of the rescue shows an injured monkey wandering during the daytime.
Panic ensued amid the locals when the wounded monkey wreaked havoc in Rahatgarh ward no. 3.
The people informed the forest officials, who reached the spot immediately to rescue the animal.
Rescue personnel tried to capture it with a net, but the creature fell from a ceiling onto the ground and raced away, before it was eventually caught on a rooftop terrace.
The officials took the creature for further medical examination in a veterinary clinic and will release it after completing its treatment.
