Forest officials rescued 4-feet tall crocodile in central India

Forest officials captured and rescued a crocodile after a two-hour-long rescue operation in central India's Madhya Pradesh on January 31. The incident took place in the Padariya village in Sagar district.

A video witnessing the incident features the forest officials gathered near a drain to rescue a crocodile hiding in it.

The rescue personnel pulls the animal closer with the help of a long bamboo stick. Then the staff present at the spot fasten a rope around it to prevent it from moving any further. Following this, they grab its neck by a wooden log and tie it with several strings. They successfully capture the creature and put it on a stretcher to carry it away.

The two-year-old female crocodile was captured after a two-hour-long rescue operation in the village. The forest officials from the Nauradehi Wildlife Sanctuary arrived on the spot to save and rescue the animal struggling in the drain for about a week.

The rescue team of Akash Pasi, Hiralal Yadav, Deepak Raikwar, began the rescue operation along with forest guards Jitendra Chabe, Akhilesh Srivastava, Sitaram Dubey, Raju Pandey, Brijendra Ghoshi. The crocodile was provided medical attention and released into the Chhewala pond in Nauradehi Sanctuary.
