A loyal dog waited at its dead owner's former work site in China five years after their death.

The heartwarming video, filmed in the city of Shenyang in Liaoning Province on January 29, shows an around 10-year-old dog sitting towards a road on the snow-covered ground at a residential community.

When a man walked inside the residential community, the dog followed him to check if he was its owner.

According to reports, a parking lot attendant at the residential community named Shen adopted the abandoned dog named Da Huang in 2012 after Da Huang stole Shen's dinner.

After that, Shen fed and showered the dog and they companied each other for three years until Shen passed away due to cancer.

However, Da Huang still came to the residential community to wait for Shen from 3 pm to 4 pm, which was the time for Shen used to start his work every day for five years.

Whenever it saw someone who looked like its owner, Da Huang would run up to them and checked if they were Shen.

The local residents were touched by the dog, so they built up a shed for it and also fed it with food regularly.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
