Chinese hospital installs foot-operated buttons for elevators aimed at reducing COVID-19 transmission
A hospital installed foot-operated buttons for elevators aimed at reducing COVID-19 transmission in northern China.
The video, filmed in the city of Mudanjiang in Heilongjiang Province on February 1, shows someone using their foot to press the buttons on the floor to operate an elevator at No.2 People's Hospital.
According to the hospital staff, the foot pedals were installed two months ago which aimed to reduce the transmission of COVID-19. The original hand-pressed buttons have not been removed.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
