Chinese men create 12 Chinese zodiac animals out of abandoned tyres
Three men used abandoned tyres to create 12 Chinese zodiac animals in southern China.
The impressive video, filmed in the city of Mianyang in Sichuan Province on February 5, shows Qiu Chunyong and his two friends using tools to attach pieces of abandoned tyres on the animal-shaped frames to form the 12 zodiacs.
Qiu said they thought the abandoned tyres could be transformed into something prettier and came up with the idea to make them into artwork.
They collect the tyres they find on the roadside or ask repair shop owners where they through away old tyres. Since they needed more tyres, they started to buy them from the recycling centre.
According to the filmer, they started to make the artwork on November 3, 2020 and completed all 12 animals on February 5, 2021.
