A 30-storey steamer tower was used to cook steamed buns in eastern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Nantong in Jiangsu Province on January 18, shows the shop owners standing on a 3-metre-high ladder to move trays of steamed buns onto an automatic lifter.

According to reports, the steamed bun shop has been running for 20 years and the demand increased as Chinese New Year approaches.

The shop owners work from 5 am to 11 pm and they steam around 2,000 buns per day.

The video was provided by local media with permission.
