A greedy cow had to be rescued after getting a wheel stuck around its neck while trying to steal hay.

Saonoa, the farm owner, was shocked when she saw the cow trying to remove the rubber tire from its neck in Prachinburi province, Thailand on January 27.

She had just finished filling the animals’ food bowls with hay but the naughty cow tried to sneak inside the storage .

It charged into the storage unit’s entrance with a rubber tire being used to block off the animals.

However, the unlucky cow’s head penetrated into the tire’s hole instead and was stuck until its keepers saw it.

The wheel was also attached to a rope that made it look like the cow was wearing a huge necklace.

Saonoa called the rescuers for help but the cow was frightened and would not let the team come near it.

They then called staff from the Department of Livestock who used anaesthetic to put the cow to sleep.

While the huge animal dozed off, they were able to take the wheel off the neck of the cow.

The relieved farm owner thanked the staff and rescuers who helped her cow out of the wheel.
