Rock fall blocks Nottinghamshire road
Police closed Chilwell road in Bramcote, Nottinghamshire after a number of large rocks fell and partially blocked the road. Heavy rain which has fallen recently could be to blame but it is not known what caused the rock fall.
Locally known as devils bend, the road has caused concern for a number of years due to the steep walls and blind tight bends. Nottinghamshire police closed the road as they had concern about the integrity of the rest of the wall as when they arrived rocks were still falling.
The incident happened as storm Darcy is set to bring cold weather to most parts of the UK.
