Blizzard from snow storm Darcy hits the Netherlands, the first heavy snowfall with intense strong winds after 2010. The country woke up on Sunday with a layer of snow covering everything. Many accidents occurred on the Dutch roads due to the storm and the icy condition, while there was a problem with trains as well.

In the city of Eindhoven in North Brabant, rail and bus services stopped operating, the airport followed and air traffic was diverted. People went outside in the city center of Eindhoven to enjoy the white scenery and some used their sleigh. According to the forecast, the cold winter weather with subzero freezing conditions and the snowstorm will continue the following days, expecting temperatures below -10 C.
