Russian fisherman manages to set fire to hole on frozen lake
This fisherman in Surgutsky district, Russia, managed to set a hole he drilled on fire.
Footage shows the water on the surface bubbling as vibrant flames are emitting from the hole in the ice.
The filmer told Newsflare: "I saw that the water in the hole was boiling. I became curious about what would happen if I set it on fire. I threw a match at a distance.
"I've never seen anything like this. The strangest thing is that the hole did not boil for other fishermen. Oil is being actively extracted in this area."
Parts of frozen lakes are flammable due to bubbles of trapped methane gas rising to the surface.
This footage was filmed on February 7.
