Dramatic moment monitor lizard is caught in school music room
This is the dramatic moment a wild monitor lizard was found hiding in a drum kit – before scampering across the slippy floor.
The 3ft long reptile crept into the school hall and curled up among the instruments in Chachoengsao, Thailand, on February 10.
Startled music teacher Patthama Nittayakan noticed the animal’s tail pointing out and rummage through the drag it out.
Footage shows the panicked creature slipping across the floor while dashing to the exit. The animal had difficulty running on the tiled floor as its toes could not grip the smooth surface.
Patthama caught the lizard’s tail and hurled it out of the room. It then scampered away into the bushes unharmed.
Patthama said they were amused with the cheeky lizard that rampaged into the building with several people inside.
He said: ‘It was a funny little creature entering our room bravely to take food. He didn’t realise that the floor was slippy. I think the lizard regretted coming inside.’
