Chinese farmers use grains and chillis to form Chinese characters and oxen to welcome Lunar New Year
Farmers used grains and chillis to form Chinese characters and three oxen to welcome the Lunar New Year in southern China.
In the video, shot in the county of Wuyuan in Jiangxi Province on February 5, farmers used dry chillis, mung beans, corn kernels and glutinous rice to create a 4.5-metre-long and 4.5-metre-wide Chinese character "Fu" which means blessing or fortune.
Another clip filmed on February 10, shows two other farmers using corn kernels, black beans and chillis to form three oxen.
The farmers said they used this way to give their best wishes to people around the country.
The video was provided by local media with permission.
