An artist in Puri, eastern India has constructed a replica radio using 3,130 matchsticks.

Saswat Ranjan Sahoo built a replica Panasonic radio for World Radio Day which lies on February 13.

Footage from February 11 shows the artist completing his matchstick creation which took him four days to build.

Odisha's Puri artist made an idol of 1980's model of panasonic stereo radio by using 3130 matchsticks on the occasion of world radio day.

Every year world radio day is celebrated on 13th February to raise awareness among the people about the importance of radio and provide access to information through radio.Now a days mann ki batt program of PM Narendra Modi help to promote the radio culture in india.

By making this idol I pay my support to all the radio programs as well as support to our Prime minister and request to all the people to listen radio programs regularly.I took 4 days to built this idol using 3130 matchsticks said Saswat Ranjan Sahoo, Artist of Puri.
