As a second wave of COVID-19 batters Latin America, images have emerged of people lining up for days to buy oxygen.

Footage filmed on February 9 shows residents of Lima, Peru, queueing and sleeping in the streets with empty oxygen tanks outside a shop that refills them.

The footage shows residents sleeping on chairs as well as tents set up as dozens wait in line.

Рeople queue for several days in the streets, sleeping in chairs, tents or the ground to be able to refill an oxygen tank for their relatives who are infected with COVID-19. In this plant located south of the Peruvian capital, oxygen refilling is free, as long as it can be demonstrated that your relative needs it, for that they ask for a copy of the relative's document and an original medical prescription with the order.
