TRY NOT TO CRY.
I helped my older sister find and adopt a puppy as a surprise for my Neice who wanted nothing in the whole wide world than to have her own dog. This 11wk old shepherd mix was found abandoned with her litter mates outside a shopping center in Texas, luckily good Samaritan’s rescued them. Unfortunately they were brought to a high kill shelter in Texas...BUT a rescue here in New York heard about them and decided to save them..sight unseen. I told my Neice as I surprisingly pick her up at school that “mommy got called to work and her car wouldn’t start. We’ll stop by your house first then go back to mine and get your mom when her shift at the hospital is over”. Sooo yeah, I lied to her , but for a good cause. Her reaction was PRICELESS. The puppy’s new name is NALAand she’s already a much loved much adored, sweet, intelligent, incredibly lucky puppy.
