LNG ships bringing gas into Kent, UK
Footage of LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas) ship 'Energy Innovator' arriving at Grain LNG on February 11th and 'Nikolay Zubov' seen departing on February 13th.
The ships bought gas to the National Grid's Isle of Grain LNG facility which is the largest LNG storage site in Europe, with the site being able to supply up to 25% of the UK's gas demand.
With the recent cold weather there has been in an increase in the number of ships visiting the facility, as gas usage increases for heating people's homes.
