An armored vehicle drives into a city street in Yangon, blocking traffic, after days of mass protests against the military coup.
The coup took place in Myanmar on the night of February 1. On one of the channels of the national television, the statement of the putschists was read out that a state of emergency was being introduced in the country. The military announced that it was taking power into its own hands for a period of one year.
