Patients use shoes to queue outside overcrowded hospital
Hundreds of patients used their shoes to queue in front of a busy hospital in Thailand after several clinics were closed down.
The National Health security cancelled 64 clinics and hospitals over alleged graft in Bangkok, Thailand on September 24.
About 800,000 patients were affected by the contract termination and were asked to seek care from state-owned medical centers.
Footage shows the patients queueing at a hospital seeking admission after being asked to transfer when the clinics in question closed down.
The lengthy queue forced the patients to use their shoes to reserve their spot after the halls have become overcrowded.
Thai people are covered by universal health care from birth. However, they had to be registered with a hospital before they can seek treatment.
