Panic ensued among the locals when fire emerged from a hand pump instead of water in central India's Madhya Pradesh on February 15. The incident took place in the Bakswaha region of the Sagar district.

Visuals witnessing the incident feature a fierce fire engulfing the hand pump, which was initially pouring out water. High flames erupt from the structure while panic ensues among the onlookers. The fire department personnel rush to the spot to douse the flames while the locals gather around to behold the raging fire.

Initially, water started flowing out of the manually operated pump on itself, surprising the locals in the region. Following this, the hand pump dried up. However, panic gripped the villagers when the same structure started emitting flames.

The locals alerted the fire department, who immediately swung into action and rushed to the spot to gain control of the situation. Further investigation into the matter is underway while the cause of the fire is still unascertained.
