An amusing video has emerged from the US of a pet cockatoo throwing a plastic water bottle across a room.

In the footage, captured at a home in Heights, Billings, MT, the cockatoo named ‘Gotcha’ repeatedly picks the water bottle up with its beak and chucks it back onto the floor.

“Gotcha has always been a little nutty,” his owner later wrote online.

“Here you can see him reacting to a new object, a smart water bottle…He's a happy, crazy, energetic, loving and very entertaining Cockatoo!”
