A bizarre video has emerged of a man getting bitten on the tongue by a snake as he was performing a trick with the reptiles.

The footage, shot near Jacundá, Brazil, late last month, shows Arteval Duarte putting two venomous snakes in his mouth when one of them suddenly bites his tongue.

Duarte, who is also know as the 'Ninja of Serpents', had to slowly remove the snake from his tongue so he wouldn't hurt it before he pulled out the fangs.

Fortunately these snakes are venomous but not deadly but not deadly for humans, but Duarte's tongue quickly swell up so that he could not speak.

He has been charming snakes for over 15 years and has suffered similar accidents in the past which explains the performer's calm during the ordeal.
