Eruption of Mount Merapi in Indonesia
This footage was filmed and produced 20 January 2021.
Mount Merapi, Indonesia's most active volcano, erupted, emitting a river of lava onto the mountain below and gas clouds into the sky.
As for naw, there were no reports of casualties.
The explosion happened just as residents had begun to return to their nearby homes on the island of Java after fleeing previous eruptions.
The resulting lava flow was the biggest since authorities raised the danger level in November.
