Eastern Brown Snake Brisbane
I found this snake in my backyard in Brisbane. One of our cats was watching it with great fascination. I wasn’t sure what snake it was at the time but will all our pets here it had to go. I grabbed and Esky, a piece if decking and a broom handle. I thought that because it was trying to eat I was counting on it not letting go. This turned out to be lucky and I lifted the snake and rat into the esky. I released the snake away from the house into a reserve nearby by. ( too close apparently … 80m ) it wasn’t very happy with me on the release lunging at me before I could push it down an embankment with its dinner.
Will definitely calling the snake catcher next time!
