Fear gripped locals in Satoriya, Madhya Pradesh, after several pythons were spotted burrowing in a farm.

Footage from February 22 shows a villager holding onto the tail of a python as the snake attempts to slither into its burrow.

Three snakes were found on the farm, the biggest being at least 10-feet-long.

The locals were forced to remove the snakes themselves as forest officials were not able to reach the spot.

Fear gripped the locals upon spotting a group of pythons amid a farm in central India's Madhya Pradesh on February 22. The incident took place in the Satoriya village, located in the Bina region of the Sagar district.

Visuals show a group of villagers gathered around a hole in the ground. A group of pythons slithers into the burrow as panic ensues among the onlookers. One of the men holds the tail of the enormous snake while it slowly attempts to curl up into the hole.

A total of three snakes were found on the farm. One of the pythons was at least 10-feet-long while the other two were comparatively smaller. Panic ensued among the villagers upon uncovering the snake burrow. The locals alerted the forest department as well. However, the officials did not reach the spot, forcing the villagers to attempt to get rid of the reptiles themselves.
