Is this the worst bike lane in the world? French cyclist documents terrifying journey on Paris road
A French cyclist filmed as they were forced to stop by oncoming traffic wandering into a bike lane in Paris.
The biker's footage from February 17 shows how several vehicles began driving in the cycle lane on Avenue Gambetta forcing him to come to a standstill.
According to the YouTuber Altis Play, he first complained about the dangerous cycle lane months ago and went back to the scene to see if anything had changed.
His video shows several vehicles including motorcycles and a bus driving towards him in the designated cycle lane.
The YouTuber, who wishes not to be named, tweeted that he hopes "physical separators" will be installed on the road to ensure cyclists' safety.
He added: "The big problem is that there is no arrow on the ground for vehicles to tell them not to go the wrong way."
