This man living in Bardufoss, Norway, transformed a fallen tree into a woodland shelter fitted with a fire pit.

The filmer gathered a range of sticks and twigs and used them to shield the entrance of the fallen tree's trunk.

After he dug out a pit the filmer then filled it with more dry sticks before setting it alight.

This footage was filmed on January 10.

In certain situations when a tree's fallen over if you cut the log-off the root ball it can spring back into the hole it came from. Trees can also flip back after storms if they fall on top of each other, flexing the timber.

So ensure you check for any possible warning signs before you build this shelter.
As a quick shelter to gain refuge it's great.
Once we have a good dump of snow, this shelter will be brilliant and extremely sturdy. It took me approx 60 mins to build.
